Hi there, I’m Edon- Owner and Designer at Watermelon Windows.

I spent several years in the hospitality industry in a multitude of roles including management while completing my degree in English Lit./Psychology and following creative pursuits in music and illustration- working in the early days as an in-house illustrator for what was then Capers- ( now Whole Foods).

The Watermelon seed was planted in 2008 when I noticed some beautiful local window painting while out shopping, and became inspired to switch careers and learn the craft. This past twelve years has been an amazing journey as the business continues to grow steadily with the support of our wonderful clients and team of talented artists. Most recently our work can be seen throughout the lower mainland in a number of Safeway’s and Thrifty Foods (both window painting and chalk art), as we have been commissioned to help realize Sobeys’ creative vision in their stores- bringing in a hand-crafted,marketplace, Community feel.

As your designer and window artist, my mission is to provide you with show stopping windows, get you a lot of attention and have you pleased enough to want to work with us again.

All Watermelon artwork- window painting and chalk art- is done freehand- creating work that is full of life and originality( no we do not use stencils!) I love the challenge of designing artwork for my clients, and take pride in my ability to lay out designs on the spot in order to utilize your windows' marketing potential to full advantage. It is very rewarding to brighten up public spaces and bring smiles to all walks of life!
